How it works

No installs, no accounts, no uploads — paste a seed and the whole world appears, generated on your own machine in a second.

Accurate generation

Built on cubiomes, the open-source engine that reproduces Minecraft's own world generation. Every biome and structure lands exactly where it will in your game — for any version from Beta 1.7 to the latest release.

Rendered live

The map draws as you pan and zoom, and every finder returns coordinates the instant you press go — no round-trips to a server, no loading spinner between clicks.

Stays on your machine

Every calculation runs locally in your own browser. Your seed is never uploaded, saved or shared — nothing about your world ever leaves your device.

Frequently asked

New to seeds? The short version.

What is a Minecraft seed?

A seed is the number that fixes everything about a world's terrain — where biomes, villages, temples and every other structure generate. Two people who use the same seed on the same version get the exact same world, which is why a good seed is worth sharing.

How do I use a seed on this site?

Paste it into the seed box at the top of the page and open the seed map. Every biome and structure draws instantly, and the finder tools give you exact coordinates and the distance from spawn.

How do I find my own world's seed?

In-game, run the /seed command (cheats or a shared world with permission), or open the world's settings. Paste that number here to map the world you're already playing.

Do these seeds work on Bedrock too?

The same seed number generates a different world on Bedrock than on Java, so a seed is tied to its edition. Switch the edition toggle before you search, and browse the dedicated Bedrock seed lists for verified Bedrock worlds.

Are the coordinates accurate?

Yes. Every map and finder result is computed from the same world generation the game runs, for the exact version you pick — so the spawn points, structure coordinates and distances you see are the ones you'll find in game.

How many Minecraft versions does ChunkSeeds support?

Every Java line from Beta 1.7 to 26.3 31 versions in all — plus 12 Bedrock lines, each rendered against that version's own world generation. Structures and biomes that only exist in newer releases (or that moved between versions) map correctly for the exact version you pick, so an old world and a brand-new one both come out right.

Can I search for a seed that matches several conditions at once?

Yes. The seed finder runs a live search across millions of seeds and returns ones that match every condition you set at the same time — a village and a fortress near spawn, a specific biome, a slime cluster, a chosen distance. It searches the seeds live rather than reading from a small fixed list, and there are 23 dedicated finders for pinpointing a single structure in a seed you already have.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It's free and there's no account. Everything runs in your own browser — nothing is uploaded, and the seeds you save or view are kept on your device.
